Canford Classics are proud to present for sale this exquisite 1975 911S Targa. This car was manufactured in November of 1974, and first registered on 3rd January 1975 by AFN Isleworth. This 911 has been restored by ourselves with invoices totalling in excess of £150,000! These works were completed in 2018, with 18 pages of invoices detailing works carried out. Since restoration, the car has had little use and is now for sale.
The condition and specification of this vehicle speak for themselves. To say the specification of this interior is rare is an RHD car is an understament. The interior is bathed in red carpet, red vinyl and red Madras seat inlays and oozes 70’s charm. The rebuilt and detailed analogue gauges are arranged in classic Porsche style with the tachometer front and centre, with a retrimmed three spoke steering wheel giving the driver a luxurious yet precise feedback whilst driving. The exterior is finished in its original hue of Silver Metallic which is complemented by restored or renewed brightwork and a set of original, restored Cookie Cutter wheels finished with period correct Michelin XWX Tyres. Exterior detailing is finished off with Black Hatched Porsche Scripting. This specification is confirmed by a Porsche supplied Certificate of Authenticity.
There are two history folders detailing previous invoices, MOT certificates dating back to 1996 and a detailed record of previous keepers. The current owner has added to the history and neatly compiled all the documents within several folders. Research documents dated 2014 suggest only seven 911S Targas were imported and sold in the UK in 1975, at the time of the research five were still registered and on the road, one was declared off the road and one had been exported. This truly is a unique opportunity to acquire a classic 911 where every expense has been spent as is evidenced by the recent invoices and more importantly the way the car drives.
