Overview

For the individual who values rarity, nuance, and historical context, this Porsche represents an opportunity that presents itself only sporadically. Not only because of the limited number, but above all because of the unique story this model tells within the evolution of Porsche.

The 356B T6 Karmann Hardtop - more commonly known as the 356 Notchback - was a Karmann display of design and engineering. Where the previous generation T5 were “Just a cabriolet with a hardtop welded in place” the T6 reportedly had its own production design. The rear end is indeed cabriolet based, but the windscreen surround is more closely shared with the coupe.

Canford Classics are thrilled to offer to market this two-tone blue T6 Notchback which presents well throughout. The paintwork is complemented by a blue vinyl upholstery, cream headliner and light grey carpet.

The 1600 engine has invoices from 356 specialists PR Services to show extensive works including a comprehensive engine rebuild.  Also included within the history folio are invoices for a breaking system overhaul and front kingpin spindle refresh.

With production numbers hovering just above 600 for the 1962 model year, this car represents an uncommon opportunity to own a piece of Porsche history! This 356 is located at our Dorset premises for immediate viewings.
