Model Year – 1984

The 1984 model year marked the start of Porsches “last hurrah” of the G-Series 911, waving goodbye to the 3.0SC and ushering in the new and improved Carrera 3.2. At the time, Porsche stated that 80 % of the engine had been redeveloped, resulting not only in a displacement increase, but with improvements to horsepower and torque along with efficiency and emissions.

This particular 3.2 Carrera has been in long term ownership for over 21 years and boasts a wealth of history from well known marque specialists. The original Maintenance Record bears the stamp of JCT600 – the supplying dealership, along with regular servicing and maintenance stamps from the likes of AFN and Autofarm. A second Maintenance Record was supplied by Autofarm in 2000 and bears servicing stamps from Autofarm and Marque 21. The most recent service and MOT was carried out in November 2021, and receipts also detail a top end engine rebuild along with a new clutch and a full stainless steel exhaust system in September 2018 at a cost of over £9000.

Inside the cabin presents well. The original radio has been upgraded to a more modern unit although a period correct Panasonic unit is included. There are two sets of keys, including the red valet key. The current owner would remark on many enjoyable miles covered, even though at first, his wife was reluctant to drive such a fast and powerful car! She later reflected how “It was always a sheer pleasure to drive.”

This car represents an opportunity to acquire an early 3.2 Carrera which can be driven and enjoyed, but equally represents an opportunity to purchase an early 911 you could put your own stamp on.
