1970 Porsche 911T Targa

Exterior Colour – Green Metallic

Interior – Black

VIN – 9110111199

Recently imported from the US this 1970 911 T is currently being UK registered and sold there after. Going through the history file this little 911T was clearly loved. At the age of 34 on March 30th 1970 Mr Robert Phillips took delivery of his 911T at Pray Porsche, Connecticut paying $7306 for the 911 T Targa with Alloy wheels and 5 speed gearbox and an additional $505 for Special Paint, S Appearance and an AM/FM radio. Within the history file is both the original sales invoice and the original window sticker! Robert then owned the car until he passed in 2017 at the age of 81 and living at the same address throughout. What a cool guy!

Towards his latter years Robert decided to have his pride and joy restored and there are several invoices from Rennwerke Ltd including an engine rebuild, gearbox rebuild, recondition interior and refurbish the targa top totalling $70,000.

Moving on a few years and we believe 2 owners a further $8,000 was spent on the car. Come late 2021/2022 the Targa was advertised and sold on "bring a trailer", which contains lots more info and pictures/movies whilst in the US.

A criticism on the sales listing was the condition of the suspension and brake lines. Thus since arriving at Canford HQ the current owner commission a full suspension and brake refurbishment, This is all documented and totals £13,000.  The interior and paint work present well but there are some marks and scratches. This is not a fresh fully restored car but that works in its favour, it can be used and enjoyed, I'm sure that's what Mr Phillips would have wanted for his 911.
