1972 Porsche 911S Restoration Project
Overview
Recently featured in GT Porsche, this classic Porsche 1972 911 has an interesting history. In 1972 it was delivered new to its first owner in Italy who owned it until 1998 when it was sold to Dutch car museum Automuseum Bergeyk. One year later the car was sold to a Belgian collector who set about restoring and modifying it. Our customer Anthony Huysser bought the car in 2000, after a long search. At first Anthony had good use out of the car and spent many weekends escaping London to explore the UK countryside. However as his family grew, he soon found that the owning a classic Porsche did not dove tail well with the needs of a very young family, and the car languished in its garage for 8 years. After such a period of neglect it inevitably needed a comprehensive restoration and Canford Classics were chosen to undertake the Porsche restoration project in 2017. With the project now completed and his children a little older, Anthony is able to once again enjoy the car.
"Following this restoration, the car is more than I was hoping for. My three daughters think it's a brand new car! It was a wonderful journey and this car will now be enjoyed and taken out on countryside drives once again." Anthony Huysser.
