Overview
Based around a genuine 1991, matching numbers 911 3.3 Turbo (964), this Porsche 911 Turbo S Tribute in Midnight Blue is offered for sale, on behalf of our customer.
A total of 86, 3.3 Turbo S Leichtbau cars were built in 1992 and only 9 were imported to the UK. The previous owner had been unable to obtain one so he decided to turn his rare, non-sunroof Porsche 3.3 Turbo to full Turbo S lightweight spec, including Special Race part aluminium doors, X99 Turbo S arches, Recaro seats, lightweight rear window, 'big-red' callipers, front strut brace, re-poly bushed, Turbo S Door cards, Turbo S induction with K&N, brake cooling.
The engine was reworked by DP Motorsports to give X88 power, hybrid KKK27/29 Turbo and new 044 fuel pumps. At one bar boost, it produces 452hp (405RWHP).
Over the past two years the car has had a full mechanical overhaul and the rebuilt engine is still under warranty. The bodywork was taken back to bare metal and a full glass and rubber 'out' respray completed over the winter of 2017/18. The car also benefits from a new interior including seats, dashboard, belts and door trims.
The car is a delight to drive, it has incredible performance and reliability. It is not for the faint hearted! The current owner has had a range of Porsches over the past 30 years and none is as exciting or rewarding to drive as this. It recently undertook a fundraising rally to Monte Carlo and won best car on the rally!
