Overview
The 964 variant Carrera RS was Porsche's follow up to the fabled 2.7 Carrera RS and embodies their purest driving experience, with production of the more powerful, stripped out version of the 964 limited to 2276 units. Out of the total production numbers, 1910 were delivered in “standard” form as offered here by Canford Classics.
Family owned for the last 18 years this stunning 964 RS has covered 100,484 km/ 62,427 miles and retains its original lightweight side glass, aluminium bonnet and magnesium wheels which are just some of the highlights of the model, as well as lightweight carpet, quad coloured bucket seats and lightweight door panels. Delivered with no optional extras, its specification reflects the model's focus on weight reduction and driving pleasure. Air conditioning, electric adjustable seats, cruise control, infotainment and sound insulation all found their way back into the parts bin!
This Black “C00” German delivered RS is offered with a detailed service history, the majority of which is UK based. There are some German documents alongside the original Driver’s Manual with its original RS supplements and a service book with stamps from both German and UK specialists. This much loved 964 RS has been maintained meticulously by the owner himself and includes a full engine rebuild. Included in the file is a rolling road document confirming 300BHP - a modest increase on Porsche’s quoted figure of 260bhp!
