Canford Classics are pleased to offer to the market this 1973 911S, first registered on the 1st June 1973 to Taylor & Fraser Ltd and sold by Glen Henderson Motors of Ayr, Scotland.

The car is sold with an impressive history with maintenance stamps in the original Porsche Maintenance Record dating from 19th June 1973, original used tax discs spanning the through the 1980’s and 1990’s and MOT certificates dating back to 1981. The history folder also contains invoices for works carried out dating back to 1980. The lack of invoices up to 1980 is due to the car having been owned by a business and as such, the receipts would have been necessary for accounting purposes. The Maintenance Record does show that the car was maintained regularly to cover the period of 1973 to 1980. The current owner has been the custodian for the past 23 years.

Throughout 2016 and 2017 the current owner commissioned Canford Classics to undertake a full restoration of GED387L. Full and detailed invoices along with an A3 coffee table book detail the full restoration process. There is also a memory stick with over 1000 photographs documenting the restoration.

The body is finished in the original colour of Silver Metallic and is presented in excellent condition. The car is equipped with a sunroof, electric windows and Recaro Sports Seats which have been restored to their original specification of black vinyl with German Cord centres. The genuine Fuchs wheels are wrapped in period correct Michelin XWX tyres.

The car is supplied with some original tools wrapped up in the original basket weave tool roll, as well as an emergency jack, both neatly tucked away under the bonnet, with another genuine Fuchs wheel and XWX tyre. The period correct Blaupunkt radio has been upgraded internally to allow connection to a mobile phone for music streaming through the original style dash speaker. The new “salt and pepper” carpets top off a beautifully restored yet comfortably familiar interior.
